SMEC Onboarding
On October 1, 2023, I stepped into the world of professional engineering as I landed my first job at SMEC. The excitement and nerves blended seamlessly as I embarked on my onboarding day, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my career.
The day kicked off with a comprehensive introduction to SMEC’s company policies. As a fresh graduate engineer, understanding the organizational ethos and guidelines set the foundation for my professional journey. The orientation not only familiarized us with the company’s values but also instilled a sense of belonging to the SMEC family.
Post lunch, the atmosphere shifted from formalities to camaraderie. A casual session filled with gossip and laughter allowed us to connect with colleagues, making the workplace feel more like a community. These informal interactions bridged the gap between the professional and personal, creating a welcoming environment.
Adding a touch of lightheartedness to the day, a spontaneous photoshoot captured the smiling faces of the new recruits. It not only served as a memento but also fostered a sense of unity among the members of the team.
